With more than ten outlets under their belt and half a million followers on their Facebook page alone, Korea Wallpaper is one of the household names of wallpaper retailers known throughout Malaysia and Singapore. Their core business focuses on importing and distributing wide wallpaper collections from Korea - a pioneer in the industry in Southeast Asia.
Korea Wallpaper recently expanded its product line with the Roomahs series in order to promote and diversify its portfolio. This series has been crucial in shaping Korea Wallpaper's brand from a simple wallpaper provider to one that also caters to the aesthetics of the room and house.
“If the system structure isn't reliable or has reached its limitation, it isn't serving the business—rather, it is risking the business's health.”
Being the leading wallpaper business in Malaysia’s market comes with its fair share of competitors. As the company expands, its e-commerce management features are improving as well. These are continuously upgrading to serve customers in an efficient and user-friendly manner. As such, Korea Wallpaper sought out Webby to help develop a tech-based management system to handle all aspects of the business.
In its early days, Korea Wallpaper used WordPress for website design and e-commerce management. However, as Korea Wallpaper expanded as a business, it quickly became apparent that solutions were needed to manage workflow in the most cost and energy-efficient manner.
Here at Webby, we helped our client develop a strategic core structure of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) that facilitates an automated process that benefits the entire business through optimal activity management and increased productivity through efficient task organisation.
For Korea Wallpaper, the ERP system was used to locate and check the stock of wallpapers available for sale, amongst other administrative and business management tasks. Building upon the base functions from the older ERP code from 2015 which needed to be updated: Webby focused on the database migration to the newer system, which was accomplished without any core data changes.
Even after the development completion of the project, Webby continues to dutifully upgrade and revamp the ERP system according to the company’s feedback, including issues related to speed, scalability and management, amongst others.
